Certains exemplaires de Ferrari 458 Italia ont été rappelés pour un remplacement d’airbag passager équipé d’un inflateur Takata. Les campagnes concernent généralement les véhicules produits sur la période suivante : Années modèles 2010–2015 selon marchés, mais les séries exactes dépendent du marché et du numéro de châssis.

On these models, the passenger airbag uses an inflator containing a propellant that is sensitive to repeated cycles of heat and humidity. As it ages, this propellant can burn abnormally, causing excess pressure in the cartridge. In the worst case, the metal casing cracks and fragments are projected into the passenger compartment.

Ferrari has implemented recall campaigns in waves, based on model year and country of registration. Owners must check their vehicle's VIN with the official network.
