Tesla – Takata Airbags

Tesla is one of several North American automakers that have recalled vehicles equipped with Takata airbag inflators. These inflators are mainly found in the driver and passenger front airbags of vehicles manufactured in the 2000s and early 2010s.

The widely available pickups and SUVs—particularly those from GM, Dodge/RAM, and Jeep—represent a significant volume of inflators to be replaced, as millions of them have been sold.
